# Saro Robotics

Saro Robotics is a Norwegian robotics company based in Trondheim, Norway, founded in 2024. We build autonomous climbing robots for pipe inspection in the energy sector.

Note: Saro Robotics was formerly known as Cortex Robotics. Same team, same technology, same mission — only the name has changed.

## What We Do

Our robots autonomously inspect industrial pipe networks — vertical and horizontal runs, bends, and obstacles — while capturing 360° inspection data. They replace traditional scaffolding-based inspection with a continuous, robot-collected data stream.

Key capabilities:
- 360° rotation for full circumferential pipe coverage
- Traverses 90° bends and complex junctions
- Climbs vertical pipe runs (risers) without scaffolding
- Adapts to variable pipe diameters
- Deploys in minutes, not days

## The Problem We Solve

Industrial pipe inspection is expensive, dangerous, and incomplete. Scaffolding accounts for up to 50% of inspection costs and often requires costly plant shutdowns. Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) alone costs Norwegian energy operators over 1 billion NOK annually. Manual processes miss critical data between inspection intervals.

Saro Robotics eliminates scaffolding, enables condition-based maintenance, and reduces inspection costs.
